Privacy notice
This working notice describes the data flows implemented in the directory. Add the operator’s legal identity, retention periods and any required regional disclosures before public launch.
Directory information
The site displays factual information about accountancy practices in a professional context. Practice owners may request correction or removal of inaccurate details. Owner-supplied edits and images are reviewed before publication.
Accounts and claims
When account services are enabled, we store your email address, secure session records, practice memberships, ownership evidence, invitations and edit history. Sign-in links are single-use and delivered by email. Claims and profile changes are retained for administration, security and audit purposes.
Images and payments
Practice images are stored in Cloudflare R2. Sponsored-listing checkout is processed by Stripe; the directory stores Stripe customer, subscription and price identifiers, not card numbers. Resend delivers account and administration emails, and Neon hosts the application database.
Cookies and performance reporting
Essential authentication cookies keep signed-in users secure. The sponsorship system records aggregate impressions, profile views, website clicks and call clicks without storing an IP address in its reporting table. No advertising cookies are included in this build.
Maps
Interactive maps are provided by Google Maps. Approximate marker locations are generated independently from open UK postcode data; the directory does not request Places details to create those markers. Loading a map sends technical request data to Google and is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
